A report from the EWMA Teacher Network

In framework of EWMA Congress 2014 in Madrid teachers of wound management at educational institutions all over Europe got opportunity to get together and share views, experiences and discuss new ideas.

EWMA Teacher Network was arranged for the third time in Congress history. But for the first time there was a presentation of the representative of educational institution which supports new methods in wound management nursing trainings from Russia.

Irina Bakhtina, dean of the St. Petersburg Postgraduate School of Nursing of FMBA, Ministry of Health Care of Russia, presented her report on the pilot professional supplementary vocational education module which was carried out for the first time in 2013 and is built on a competence-based multidisciplinary approach to wound treatment and care.

Irina Bakhtina was a leader of Russian Nursing delegation from several federal hospitals of Saint-Petersburg, Moscow, Nizhniy Novgorod and other cities.

A group of nurses took part in the plenary sections and workshops, visited wound treatment products exhibition and got new information about tools and ways of nursing care.
